Machined to Aerospace Tolerances. Finished by Hand.

We model each gun in 3D CAD software, then machine receivers from solid blocks of American steel using the same tolerances as the aerospace industry. Then our gunsmiths hand-fit every action, check headspace individually, and hand-finish each piece before it ships. Every Ithaca ships when it's right — not when the quota says so.
The Bottom-Eject Design That Made Ithaca Iconic

Shells eject straight down, not across your field of view. Rain, snow, leaves, and mud can't get into the action from above. Left-handed shooters don't get hot brass across their face. And your shooting buddy standing next to you won't get hit with your empties. This isn't just different—it's functionally superior. It's also why people recognize an Ithaca the moment they see one cycle. When you shoot an Ithaca, people know.
One Piece Barrel Construction. Straight and True.

All barrel components (ribs, sights, lugs) are machined directly from the parent steel—not soldered or welded on. This means the barrel's integrity was never compromised by high heat warping the metal. The result is simply the truest, straightest shotgun barrel available. Every barrel is machined from American steel in our Ohio facility, and yes, we still make barrels for vintage Ithacas dating back decades.

Legacy

More than a century of American gunmaking

Since 1880, Ithaca has built firearms that define American sporting tradition. In 1937, we introduced the Model 37—based on John Browning's design—featuring bottom ejection that changed pump shotguns forever. That same gun served in WWII, was carried by Annie Oakley and John Philip Sousa, and has been passed from fathers to sons for three generations.

We survived wars, the Depression, and industry consolidation that killed dozens of American gun makers. In 2007, the Dlubak family acquired Ithaca's assets and brought manufacturing to Upper Sandusky, Ohio, where we combine modern CNC equipment with the hand-fitting and craftsmanship that made Ithaca legendary.

Today, we're machining receivers from solid American steel blocks, building guns by hand in Ohio, and manufacturing OEM parts for every Model 37 ever made—even those from 1937. The history isn't decoration. Every design decision, every manufacturing choice, traces back to what's always made Ithaca worth passing down. It's a commitment to quality that you can hold in your hands and hunt with for decades.
